Car
From Tokyo, take the Tōmei Expressway (towards Nagoya) and continue until you reach the Utsunomiya interchange. Merge onto the Tōhoku Expressway (E4) towards Nikko. Exit at the Nikko IC and follow the signs to Nikko. Continue on Route 119 for about 10 km, then take Route 32 towards Sannai. The Rin’nōji Houmotsuden treasure house is located at 2300 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1431, and there is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation (Train)
From Tokyo Station, take the Tōhoku Shinkansen to Utsunomiya Station. Transfer to the JR Nikko Line and take the train to Nikko Station. From Nikko Station, you can take a local bus (Nikko City Bus) towards Sannai. Get off at the Rin’nōji stop. The treasure house is a short walk from the bus stop. Ensure you check the bus schedule as it may vary.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you're already in the Nikko area, you can take a direct bus from Tobu Nikko Station to the Rin’nōji Houmotsuden. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes, and tickets can be purchased at the station. Keep an eye on the bus schedule for return times if you plan to explore the area.
