    From Osaka, take the Hanshin Expressway to Route 168. Follow Route 168 to Koyasan, approximately 60 km away. Once in Koyasan, follow the signs to Kongobu-ji, which is located at 550 Koyasan. Parking is available near the temple, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

  • Public Transportation

    From Osaka Station, take the Nankai Koya Line to Gokurakubashi Station. This journey takes about 1 hour and costs around 1,160 yen. At Gokurakubashi, transfer to the Nankai Cableway, which will take you to Koyasan Station in approximately 5 minutes. From Koyasan Station, you can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take a bus to Kongobu-ji, which costs about 210 yen. The bus will take you directly to the entrance of the temple.

  • Train and Bus

    If you're coming from Kyoto, take the JR Kyoto Line to Osaka, then switch to the Nankai Koya Line at Namba Station. Follow the same route as above from Namba Station to Gokurakubashi Station, and then transfer to the Nankai Cableway to reach Koyasan. Ensure to check train and cableway schedules in advance, especially during off-peak hours.
