If you're traveling by car from central Kyoto, take the Kyoto City Loop Line (Route 1) and head north. Continue on Route 1 for about 6 km until you reach the intersection with Route 37. Turn left onto Route 37 and follow the signs for Daitoku-ji. After approximately 2 km, turn right onto Murasakino Daitokujicho.
