Car
If you are traveling by car, start from central Kyoto and head towards the Kyoto Minami IC (Interchange) on the Meishin Expressway. Once on the expressway, follow the signs for Kyoto and take the exit at Kyoto Minami IC. After exiting, take Route 1 towards the south. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 6 km until you reach the intersection with Nishikujo Higashihieijocho. Turn left onto Nishikujo Higashihieijocho and drive for about 1 km. Hieijo Park will be on your right at 40 Nishikujo Higashihieijocho, Minami Ward, Kyoto. There is parking available near the park, but please note that parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Hieijo Park using public transportation, begin at Kyoto Station. From there, take the JR Kyoto Line towards Nara and get off at the Nishikujo Station (approximately a 5-minute ride). Upon exiting the station, head east towards Nishikujo Higashihieijocho. The park is about a 15-minute walk from the station. Walk straight along Nishikujo Higashihieijocho and you will find Hieijo Park on your left at 40 Nishikujo Higashihieijocho. Make sure to check the train schedule for any potential delays or changes. The train fare is around 200 yen.
