From Kyoto Station, take the JR Kyoto Line to Tofukuji Station. The journey takes about 3 minutes. From Tofukuji Station, exit and walk south for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the station: board the 202 or 207 bus and get off at the Toji Temple stop. The fare is around 230 yen.

If you prefer to walk from Tofukuji Station, exit the station and head south. You will pass through a residential area and see signs for Toji Temple, which is nearby. It’s a pleasant walk that takes approximately 15 minutes.
