If you are traveling by car, head towards the Minami Ward in Kyoto. Use the address '1番地, Kujocho, Minami Ward, Kyoto, 601-8473' in your GPS for navigation. From central Kyoto, take Route 1 south and follow the signs to Tōji Temple. There is parking available near the temple, but be aware that it may incur a parking fee of around 300-500 yen depending on how long you stay.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Tōji Gojūnotō by public transport, take the JR (Japan Railways) Line to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kintetsu Kyoto Line and take the train to Toji Station. The journey should take about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Toji Station, exit the station and walk south for approximately 10 minutes to reach Tōji Temple. The train fare is approximately 200 yen.

Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, from Kyoto Station, board the Kyoto City Bus #207 or #208, which will take you directly to Tōji Temple. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes, and the fare is around 230 yen. Once you get off at the Tōji Temple stop, you will find the entrance to the temple just a short walk away.
