If you are traveling by car from Omi, start by heading north on Route 17. Follow the signs for Karuizawa. Once you reach Karuizawa, turn onto Route 146 and continue for about 10 km. Look for signs directing you to Nagakura. Senga Falls is located near Nagakura in Kitasaku District, Nagano. There are parking areas available near the trailhead, which may incur a small fee (approximately 500 yen). The hike to the falls is an easy, scenic route that takes about an hour round trip.

For those using public transportation, take the JR Nagano Shinkansen from Omi Station to Karuizawa Station. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around 2,500 yen. Upon arriving at Karuizawa Station, you can take a local bus towards Nagakura (check the local bus schedules for times). The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the Nagakura stop, and from there, it’s a short walk to the trailhead for Senga Falls. If needed, ask locals for directions to the falls, as they are a popular destination.
