Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from central Settsu. Use Route 170 (the 'Miyakoji Line') and head north. Continue for approximately 15 km until you reach the Kita Ward of Kyoto. Follow signs for Takagamine. Once you enter Takagamine Koetsucho, look for parking options near Kōetsu-ji Temple. There may be a nominal parking fee, usually around 500 yen per hour.

    From Settsu, take the JR Takarazuka Line from Settsu Station to Kyoto Station. This train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus (Bus No. 204 or 205).
