    From JR Aomori Station, take a JR bus bound for Lake Towada. The bus ride to the Hakkōda Ropeway Sanroku Station takes approximately 60-80 minutes (80 minutes in winter) and costs ¥1290. The JR bus is covered by the Japan Rail Pass and JR East Tohoku Area Pass. Be aware that there are only three departures per day.

    A taxi from Aomori Station to Hakkōda Ropeway Sanroku Station will take approximately 50 minutes. A fixed-rate taxi is available for around ¥6,000. Metered fares are typically around ¥8,500, but can vary depending on traffic.
