If you are driving from any location in Wakasa, take National Route 8 towards the city of Ōmihachiman. Follow the signs for Azuchi, which is approximately a 30-minute drive. Use your GPS to navigate to the address: Azuchicho Shimotoira, 近江八幡市 Shiga 521-1311. There is parking available near the castle ruins, but it may incur a small fee, so keep some change ready.

Public Transportation (Train and Bus)
Start by taking a train from Wakasa to Ōmihachiman Station on the JR Tōkaidō Main Line. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Ōmihachiman Station, transfer to a local bus that goes to Azuchi. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. After getting off at the Azuchi bus stop, it's a short walk to the castle ruins.
