If you're driving from central Wakasa, take Route 8 heading northwest towards Nagahama. After approximately 30 kilometers, you'll reach the junction with Route 306. Merge onto Route 306 and continue until you see signs for Dougan-ji Temple. The temple is located at 50 Takatsukichodouganji, Nagahama, Shiga 529-0233. There is parking available on site. Note that there is an entrance fee of 500 yen to see three statues within the temple.

Public Transportation
From Wakasa Station, take the JR Kosei Line towards Nagahama. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Get off at Nagahama Station. From there, you can take a local bus (check the local schedules as they may vary) or a taxi to reach Dougan-ji Temple. The temple is about 10 kilometers from Nagahama Station. If taking a taxi, it should cost around 2000-2500 yen. Remember to have some cash on hand for the taxi and the entrance fee of 500 yen at the temple.
