To reach Yakushima Fruit Garden via public transport, start from either Miyanoura or Anbo. Take the Yakushima bus heading towards Nakama and disembark at the Nakama stop. From there, the garden is a short, approximately 10-minute walk. Bus schedules should be checked in advance due to limited service. Bus fares vary depending on the distance, with prices ranging from ¥550 to ¥1870 depending on the origin and destination. A one-day bus pass is available for ¥2000.

Taxis are available at Yakushima Airport or the ports. Arrange a taxi by phone in advance for convenient pickup. From Miyanoura, a taxi to the Fruit Garden will cost approximately ¥4,640. From Anbo, the taxi fare will be around ¥2,390. These are estimates, and fares may vary depending on traffic and the specific route.

If driving, start from Yakushima Airport or the ferry terminal in Miyanoura. Take Route 97 towards Anbo and follow the signs for Nakama. As you approach Nakama, look for signs directing you to 'Papaya no Sato'. The garden has on-site parking available. Car rentals are available at Miyanoura Port and the airport. Keep in mind that an international driving permit is required for most international visitors.
