If you are driving to Yakushima National Park, start by heading to the Yakushima Airport or the Port of Yakushima, depending on where you are coming from. From the airport, take Route 78, which will lead you towards Miyanoura. Continue on Route 78 for about 30 minutes until you reach the entrance of Yakushima National Park. There are several parking areas available near the visitor center, so you can easily find a spot to leave your car.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Yakushima town or the Yakushima Airport. If you are at Yakushima Airport, look for the Yakushima Airport Bus service that can take you to Miyanoura. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Miyanoura, transfer to the local buses that go to the park entrance. Buses to the national park run regularly, but be sure to check the schedule for the latest times. A single bus ride will cost around ¥500.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can also take a taxi from any location in Yakushima to Yakushima National Park. Taxis are available at major points like the airport and ferry terminal. A taxi ride from Miyanoura to the park entrance will take about 30 minutes and cost approximately ¥4,000 to ¥5,000, depending on traffic and exact location.
