Getting There

By Car
From Yufuin, head south on Route 210 towards the city of Aso. Follow the signs for Aso while enjoying the scenic views along the way. The drive takes approximately 40 minutes (about 28 km). Once you reach Aso, continue on Route 57 and then take Route 325 towards Daikanbo. You will encounter signs directing you to Daikanbo. There is a parking area available at the summit.

By Public Transportation
From Yufuin Station, take the JR Kyushu train to Aso Station. The train ride takes about 50 minutes. After arriving at Aso Station, you can take a local bus towards Daikanbo. Check the bus schedule beforehand, as services may be limited. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to have some cash on hand for the bus fare, which is around 600 yen. Once you reach the Daikanbo bus stop, follow the signs to the viewing area.
