Car
If you are driving, take the Kyushu Expressway (Kumamoto IC) and exit at Kumamoto Interchange. From there, follow Route 57 to Aso. Continue on Route 57 until you reach Kurokawa, where Aso-Kuju National Park is located. The total driving distance is approximately 50 kilometers and will take around 1 hour. Be aware of parking fees that may apply in certain areas within the park.

If you prefer public transportation, take the JR Kyushu Shinkansen to Kumamoto Station. From Kumamoto Station, transfer to the JR Hōhi Line and travel to Aso Station (approximately 30 minutes). Upon arriving at Aso Station, take the Nishi Kyushu Bus toward Kurokawa Onsen. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes.
