Car
If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park, located at the Cheptais gate. Follow the Cheptais-Chepkube Road heading towards Konna. The Chesokwo Hills, Caves and Escapement is located approximately 15 km along this road. Look for signs or ask locals for guidance as you approach, as the area can be somewhat secluded. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some sections of the road may be rough.

Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Cheptais. The fare is typically around 50-100 KES. Once you reach Cheptais, you will need to either hire a local motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you to Konna, or you can walk the remaining distance of about 5 km to Chesokwo Hills, Caves and Escapement. Make sure to negotiate the fare for the boda boda, which should be around 200-300 KES.

If you are already within walking distance of the Chesokwo Hills, Caves and Escapement, you can hike from the nearest lodge or campsite within Mount Elgon National Park. Follow the marked trails which are well-maintained but may require some level of fitness. Keep hydrated and bring necessary hiking gear as the terrain can be uneven.
