Getting There

Car
If you're driving from Mbale, take the Mbale - Suam Road (A25) and head northeast towards the town of Budadiri. After approximately 22 km, turn right onto the road leading to the Bushiyi area. Follow this road for about 15 km until you reach Bushiyi Trail entrance, which is marked with signs. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as some parts of the road can be unpaved.

Public Transportation
Board a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Budadiri at the Mbale taxi park. The ride will cost around 2,000 UGX and take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Budadiri, hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Bushiyi Trail. The boda-boda ride will cost about 10,000 UGX and take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your journey.

If you're already in the vicinity of Bushiyi, you can walk to the trailhead from nearby accommodations. From the center of Bushiyi village, follow the main road heading towards the park entrance.
