Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Bar Harbor. Head north on Main Street (ME-3) and continue for approximately 2.5 miles. Look for signs for Acadia National Park. You will enter the park, and there will be a parking area near Boulder Beach. Please note that there is an entrance fee to Acadia National Park, which is $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the Island Explorer Bus from Bar Harbor. Board the bus at one of the designated stops in town. Make sure to check the schedule ahead of time, as the buses run seasonally. Get off at the 'Boulder Beach' stop, which is part of the Acadia National Park route. The fare is free, but donations are appreciated to help maintain the service.
Walking from Parking Area
Once you have parked at the Boulder Beach parking area, follow the short walking path that leads directly to the beach. It is an easy walk of about 0.2 miles, and the path is well-marked and accessible.
