Start your journey at the Provincetown Town Hall located at 260 Commercial St, Provincetown, MA 02657. From Town Hall, head east on Commercial Street towards the East End. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and follow it for approximately 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Cross Route 6 carefully to the other side, where you will find the entrance to the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center. Here, you can gather information about the Dune Shacks Trail and obtain a map if needed. After your visit, exit the Visitor Center parking lot and head west along Route 6. You will soon see signs for the Dune Shacks Trail. Follow the marked path from the parking area which leads you directly to the trailhead.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many bike rental shops in Provincetown. Start at the bike rental location and head east towards Commercial Street. Ride down Commercial Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and continue for about 0.3 miles. When you reach Route 6, cross carefully and proceed to the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center. After gathering any necessary information, get back on your bike and head west on Route 6. Look for the signs for the Dune Shacks Trail entrance. You can bike to the trailhead where you can secure your bike at the designated bike rack before proceeding onto the trail.
