Bicycle
If you are in Tulum, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in town. Start by heading north on Avenida Tulum until you reach the intersection with Calle Centauro Sur. Turn right onto Calle Centauro Sur and continue until you reach the main road, Carretera Tulum-Cancun. Turn left onto Carretera Tulum-Cancun and ride for approximately 5 kilometers. You'll see signs for Cenote Ixel on the right side. Follow the signs to the entrance. The total bike ride should take about 25-30 minutes.

Shared Van (Collectivo)
From Tulum, head to the main bus station (Terminal de Autobuses). Look for a shared van (collectivo) heading towards Playa del Carmen or Bacalar. Board the collectivo and inform the driver you wish to stop at Cenote Ixel. The journey will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive, follow any signs or ask locals for the entrance which is a short walk from the drop-off point.

Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and are staying close to the cenote, you can walk. Start from the town center and head north along Avenida Tulum. After around 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Carretera Tulum-Cancun. Continue walking for about 5 kilometers until you see signs for Cenote Ixel. Though this option is quite long (approximately 1.5 hours walk), it offers a chance to see the local scenery.
