If you're driving to Lake Michigan Overlook, start by heading towards M-22 from wherever you are in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. If you're near the Visitor Center, take M-72 West until you reach the intersection with M-22. Turn right onto M-22 South, and drive for approximately 12 miles. Look for the signs indicating 'Lake Michigan Overlook' as you approach Empire, MI. The overlook will be on your left, just past the intersection with Lake Michigan Road. There is a parking area available for visitors.
