Getting There

Walking
If you are in the Thamel area, start by heading east on Tridevi Marg until you reach the intersection with Chaksibari Marg. Turn left onto Chaksibari Marg and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the busy intersection of Jyatha. From Jyatha, head south towards the historic Durbar Square. You will see the entrance to Kathmandu Durbar Square on your right. After passing through the square and admiring the temples, look for the entrance to the Kumari Mandir, which is located on the western side of the square. The Kumari Mandir is easily recognizable by its ornate wooden architecture.

Walking
If you are near the Basantapur area, start from the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Head towards the southern end of the square, and you will find Kumari Mandir just a short walk away. The temple is located on the square's western side, near the old royal palace. Look for the red and gold structure, which is adorned with intricate carvings—a distinctive feature of this sacred site.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Thamel and ride towards Durbar Square. Take a route through the narrow lanes to experience local life. From Thamel, cycle down Tridevi Marg to the intersection with Chaksibari Marg, then continue straight to reach Durbar Square. Once you arrive at the square, park your bicycle at a designated area and walk to Kumari Mandir, located on the western side of the square.

Public Transportation (Microbus)
While public transport is limited, you can catch a microbus that routes towards the Old City or Basantapur. From areas like Ratna Park, board a microbus and ask the conductor to drop you off at the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Once you arrive, navigate to the western side of the square where Kumari Mandir is located. It's a short walk from the drop-off point.
