    From Asbury Park, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Take the NJ Transit Bus #832 towards Staten Island. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, walk to the ferry dock and catch the next ferry to Staten Island. After reaching Staten Island, exit the ferry terminal and find the local bus stop for the S44 or S40 bus. Take the bus towards West Brighton and get off at the stop nearest to 614 Broadway, which is where the Staten Island Zoo is located.

  • Train and Ferry

    Head to the nearest NJ Transit train station in Asbury Park. Take the North Jersey Coast Line train towards New York Penn Station. Disembark at the New York Penn Station and follow the signs to the PATH trains. Board the PATH train towards World Trade Center. At the World Trade Center stop, exit and find the ferry terminal for Staten Island. Board the Staten Island Ferry, which is free, and enjoy the scenic ride. Once you arrive at Staten Island, take the local bus S44 or S40 towards West Brighton and get off at the stop near 614 Broadway.

    If you are near the beachfront in Asbury Park, walk towards the Convention Hall and head south along Ocean Avenue. Continue walking until you reach the nearest bus stop on Main Street to catch the NJ Transit Bus #832 towards Staten Island. The bus will take you to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. After taking the ferry to Staten Island, take the S44 or S40 bus towards West Brighton and disembark at the stop closest to 614 Broadway.
