Bus
From Yonkers, walk to the nearest bus stop where you can catch the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards New York City. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Disembark at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Once there, take the Staten Island Ferry, which is free and operates frequently. Enjoy the scenic ride, and after about 25 minutes, you'll arrive at the St. George Terminal on Staten Island. From the terminal, you can catch the S40 bus towards the South Beach. Get off at the stop for Bank St and walk a few minutes to reach the Staten Island September 11th Memorial.

Train and Ferry
Begin your journey at the Yonkers Metro-North station. Board a train heading to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. After about a 30-minute ride, arrive at Grand Central. From there, walk to the nearby 42nd Street-Bryant Park Subway Station and take the 7 train to 34th Street-Hudson Yards. Transfer to the A train towards Far Rockaway and get off at the Howard Beach-JFK Airport station. Here, transfer to the AirTrain to reach the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Once at the ferry terminal, take the free Staten Island Ferry to St. George. Once you arrive at St. George, take the S40 bus towards the South Beach and get off at Bank St. Walk a short distance to the memorial.

If you are up for an adventurous walk, you can walk from any central location in Yonkers to the Hudson River waterfront. Follow the Riverwalk path along the Hudson River to the Yonkers Pier. This is a longer trek, so be prepared for a good amount of walking. Once you reach the waterfront, head towards the ferry terminal at the Yonkers Pier. Take the ferry across the river to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. From there, you can use the S40 bus to reach the Staten Island September 11th Memorial.
