Look for the trailhead on your left at the end of the lake, which leads to the Roys Peak Track. The trailhead is well-marked. The hike to Roys Peak Lookout takes about 5-6 hours round trip, so be sure to wear sturdy footwear and bring plenty of water.

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Wanaka. Start at the Wanaka i-SITE at 103 Ardmore Street. Head west along Ardmore Street towards the lake.
