Bus
To reach Riverbank Park from central Wellington, head to the Wellington Railway Station. From the station, catch a train on the Wairarapa Line heading towards Upper Hutt. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Disembark at the Upper Hutt Station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to the bus stop and take the bus number 110 towards Ebdentown. Get off at the stop near Pine Avenue. Walk down Pine Avenue, and you will find Riverbank Park located at 98 Pine Ave, Ebdentown.

Train and Walk
Start your journey at the Wellington Railway Station and take the Wairarapa Line train towards Upper Hutt. After approximately 40 minutes, get off at Upper Hutt Station. From there, exit the station and walk about 15 minutes towards Pine Avenue. Head northeast on Station Rd, then turn right onto Pine Ave. Riverbank Park will be on your left at 98 Pine Ave.

Cycle
For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Wellington. Head towards the Hutt River Trail, which will lead you to the outskirts of Upper Hutt. The ride takes approximately 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Upper Hutt, follow the trail signs directing you towards Ebdentown, and then navigate to Pine Avenue where Riverbank Park is located at 98 Pine Ave.

If you are adventurous and up for a long walk, you can take a scenic route from Wellington to Upper Hutt. Start at the waterfront and follow the Hutt River Trail, which is a beautiful path along the river. This will take about 3 hours.
