From the Whanganui city center, start at the Whanganui Riverfront. Head west along Victoria Avenue until you reach the intersection with Rapanui Road. Turn left onto Rapanui Road and continue walking for about 3 kilometers. The Bason Botanic Gardens will be on your left at 552 Rapanui Road. Look for the entrance sign, and enjoy the beautiful gardens!
