Start at the Whangarei Town Basin, walking towards the north along the Hatea River. Follow the riverside path until you reach the intersection with Dent Street. Turn right onto Dent Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Onerahi Road. Cross over to Onerahi Road and keep walking until you see the turn-off for Raurimu Avenue. Turn left onto Raurimu Avenue and continue straight until you reach 14A Raurimu Avenue, where you will find Cresta Park.

From Whangarei City Centre, catch the bus number 26 towards Onerahi. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Onerahi Road near Raurimu Avenue. Alight and walk down Raurimu Avenue, continuing straight for about 5-10 minutes until you arrive at 14A Raurimu Avenue, which is the location of Cresta Park.
