From the Oregon Coast, take US-101 N towards Astoria. After approximately 70 miles, merge onto US-30 E towards Portland. Continue on US-30 E for about 40 miles. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, as this area is marked with scenic byway signs. The main entrance to the Scenic Area is located near Corbett, Oregon. Once you reach the area, enjoy the breathtaking views and numerous hiking trails. Note that parking at popular sites may incur a fee, so have some cash or a credit card ready.

Start by taking a public bus from the Oregon Coast to Portland. You can use the Oregon Coast Public Transit system for this. Once you arrive in Portland, transfer to the TriMet MAX Light Rail system. Get off at the last stop, 'Cascades Station'.
