If you are driving from Leh, take the NH 1D highway towards Kargil. Continue for about 150 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Turtuk. Follow the signs to Turtuk, which is approximately 40 kilometers from the highway. Once you arrive in Turtuk, look for the historic polo ground; the Balti Heritage House and Museum is located nearby. There is no entrance fee for the museum, but donations are appreciated.

To reach Balti Heritage House and Museum via public transportation, take a shared taxi or bus from Leh to Turtuk. The journey takes around 5 to 6 hours and costs approximately ₹600 to ₹800 per person. Once you arrive in Turtuk, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to get to the polo ground area, where the museum is situated. The museum does not charge an entrance fee, but donations are welcome.
