If you have access to a car, start your journey from Huaraz. Drive south on the PE-3N highway for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the Llanganuco Lakes. Parking is available near the lakes.

To reach Lagunas Llanganuco via public transportation, head to the Huaraz bus terminal. Look for a bus that goes to Yungay. These buses leave regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Yungay, you will need to take a local combi (a shared van) toward the Llanganuco Lakes. The combi ride will take about 30 minutes. Ensure you tell the driver your destination clearly. The total cost for the bus to Yungay is usually around 10-15 soles, and the combi fare is an additional 5-10 soles.
