Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Plaza de Armas, walk towards the Cathedral of Cusco. Head up the street Calle Huaynapata until you reach the intersection with Avenida El Sol. Turn left onto Avenida El Sol and continue walking straight. After about 10 minutes, you will see the road start to incline as you approach the hill where the Statue of Christ is located. Follow the path that leads up to the statue, which will be marked with signs. The walk is approximately 30 minutes from the Plaza de Armas.

    From Plaza de Armas, head to the nearby Avenida El Sol and look for a collectivo (shared taxi) that is heading towards the neighborhood of San Blas. From there, you will need to walk uphill for about 15 minutes to reach the statue.
