Car
If you are driving, make your way to Huascarán National Park through the main access roads. The closest major town is Huaraz, which is about 30 km from the park entrance. From Huaraz, take the PE-3N road towards Carhuaz. After approximately 15 km, turn right onto the road leading to the park entrance. After paying the entrance fee (approximately 30 soles for foreign tourists), continue driving until you reach the trek's main trailhead at Cashapampa, which is about 25 km from the entrance. Park your vehicle at the designated area and prepare for the trek.

Public Transportation
From Huaraz, you can take a local bus or shared taxi (known as 'colectivos') to Cashapampa, which serves as the starting point for the Trek Santa Cruz. Buses leave frequently from Huaraz's main bus terminal and the journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. The cost for the bus fare is typically around 10-15 soles. Be sure to check the schedule as the last buses may leave in the early afternoon. Upon arrival at Cashapampa, you will find the trailhead for the trek.
