  • Walking

    From the heart of Baixa, head towards Rua de Santa Catarina, a vibrant shopping street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rua dos Clérigos. Turn left onto Rua dos Clérigos. Continue walking until you see the iconic Clérigos Tower. From there, take a slight right onto Rua de São Bento da Vitória. Follow this street until you arrive at Largo do Amor de Perdição. From this square, you will see signs pointing towards the Sé (Cathedral). Continue up the hill, and soon you will arrive at the magnificent Porto Cathedral located at Terreiro da Sé, 4050-573 Porto.

  • Public Transportation - Metro

    If you prefer public transport, you can take the Metro. Head to the nearest metro station in Baixa, which is 'Aliados' station. Take the D Line (Blue Line) towards 'Hospital de São João'. Get off at 'São Bento' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the exit, which will lead you to the main square. From there, walk towards the Cathedral by heading up Rua do Comércio do Porto, which will take you directly to Porto Cathedral at Terreiro da Sé. Note that a single metro ticket costs around €1.20.

  • Funicular

    For a scenic route, you can take the Funicular dos Guindais. Start from the lower part of Baixa near the Ribeira district. Find the funicular station at Rua de Cima do Muro. Purchase a ticket for about €2.50. The funicular will take you uphill, providing beautiful views of the Douro River and the city. Once you reach the top, follow the signs towards the Cathedral, which is a short walk away at Terreiro da Sé.
