Car
From Cyangugu, head east on the N1 highway towards the town of Nyungwe. Continue for about 10 km until you reach the turn-off towards Bukavu, Congo. Follow the signs directing you to Bukavu. The drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Be prepared for border checks as you will cross into the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Ensure you have your passport and any necessary visas ready. After crossing the border, continue on the road until you reach Tshivanga, the main entrance to Kahuzi-Biega National Park.

Public Transportation
From Cyangugu, take a shared taxi (commonly known as a 'moto') to the bus terminal. At the terminal, find a bus heading to Bukavu. The bus ride will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Ensure you inform the driver that you wish to disembark at the Tshivanga entrance of Kahuzi-Biega National Park. The bus fare is usually around $5 to $10. Once you arrive in Bukavu, you will need to take a moto or a private taxi to reach the Tshivanga entrance of the park, which is about 30 minutes away.
