Car
From Nyungwe Forest National Park, head north on the main road towards the town of Butare. Follow the signs for the N6 road. After approximately 30 km, take the exit onto WNk24 Road. Continue on WNk24 Road for about 10 km until you reach Kamarambo, Gikuyu Village. Kivu Eco Retreat will be on your right. Ensure you have a reliable GPS or map as some road signage may be limited.

Public Transportation
Begin by taking a local bus or shared taxi from Nyungwe Forest National Park to the nearest major town, which is Butare. The fare is typically around 3,000 Rwandan Francs (RWF). Once in Butare, you can catch another bus or shared taxi heading to Kamarambo. The fare for this leg is approximately 1,500 RWF. Upon arrival in Kamarambo, Kivu Eco Retreat is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Head southeast on WNk24 Road and look for signage indicating the retreat.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Nyungwe Forest National Park to Kivu Eco Retreat. This option will cost more, typically around 20,000 RWF for the trip. The driver should take you directly via WNk24 Road. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
