Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Gishwati-Mukura National Park. Take the road heading northeast toward Kinigi. Continue on this road for approximately 20 km. As you approach Kinigi, keep an eye out for the Gasura Best Tourism Village sign on your left. Turn onto the dirt road marked with the 'HH99+C2V' location, and follow it for about 2 km until you reach the village. The journey should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on road conditions.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Gishwati-Mukura National Park to Kinigi. The matatus usually depart from designated spots near the park entrance and run frequently. The fare is approximately 1,500 RWF. Upon reaching Kinigi, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (commonly known as 'moto') to reach Gasura Best Tourism Village. The moto ride will cost around 1,000 RWF and will take about 10 minutes. Make sure to communicate the destination clearly to the driver.
