  • Bicycle

    If you're in Nyagatare, head towards the main road (RN5). Ride northwest towards the town of Byumba. After about 30 minutes, you will reach a fork; take the left road heading towards Kinigi. Continue for about 1 hour until you see signs for the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, located at HH97+MG, Kinigi.

    From the Nyagatare bus station, board a bus heading to Musanze. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive in Musanze, transfer to a local taxi or motorbike taxi (boda-boda) heading to Kinigi. Provide the driver with the address HH97+MG, Kinigi, and the journey will take around 30 minutes.

    If you are feeling adventurous and are staying nearby, head out on foot towards the main road (RN5). Walk northwest for about 5 km until you reach the fork. At the fork, take the left road toward Kinigi. Continue walking for around 10 km until you see signs for the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund located at HH97+MG, Kinigi.
