Car
If you are traveling by car within Volcanoes National Park, first head towards Musanze (formerly known as Ruhengeri). From the main park entrance, take the road towards Kinigi, which is well-marked. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction at Kinigi. Here, take a right turn towards Sabyinyo. The lodge is located about 5 kilometers down this road on your left. Look for signage indicating Wilderness Sabyinyo. Parking is available at the lodge.

Public Transportation
To reach Wilderness Sabyinyo using public transportation, start by taking a moto-taxi or local bus from your location in Volcanoes National Park to Musanze. From Musanze, you can catch a moto-taxi to Kinigi. Once in Kinigi, you will need to arrange another moto-taxi to take you to Wilderness Sabyinyo, which is approximately a 15-minute ride from Kinigi. Ensure you confirm the fare beforehand; expect to pay around 2,000-5,000 RWF depending on your negotiation skills and the distance.

Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Kinigi and prefer to walk, you can navigate to Wilderness Sabyinyo by following the main road from Kinigi towards Sabyinyo. The walk is about 5 kilometers and can take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. It's advisable to start early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water, as the road can be uneven in parts.
