Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Badulla town, head east on the A5 road towards Hali-Ela. Continue for about 7 km until you reach the junction at Ketawala. Turn left onto Bogoda Bridge Road and follow the signs for Bogoda Raja Maha Viharaya. After around 3 km, you will arrive at the temple. Parking is available near the entrance.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Badulla town, take a local bus heading towards Hali-Ela. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station. Inform the driver you want to get off at Ketawala. The fare is approximately LKR 30. Once you reach Ketawala, you can either walk (about 3 km) towards Bogoda Bridge Road following the signs to the temple or take a tuk-tuk for around LKR 300 to cover the remaining distance.
