    If you are driving from the main entrance of Minneriya National Park, head southeast on the A1 road. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach the junction of the A1 and A25 roads. Take a right onto the A25 road, and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Uththararamaya (Gal Vihara) on your left side. Turn left onto X283 road, and follow this road for another kilometer until you reach the temple.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Uththararamaya (Gal Vihara) via public transportation, first take a bus from the Minneriya bus stand to Nissankamallapura. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is approximately 50 LKR. After arriving in Nissankamallapura, you can take a tuk-tuk to Uththararamaya (Gal Vihara), which should cost around 200 LKR. The tuk-tuk ride will take about 10 minutes.
