Car
If you are driving from the main entrance of Minneriya National Park, head southeast on the A1 road. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach the junction of the A1 and A25 roads. Take a right onto the A25 road, and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Uththararamaya (Gal Vihara) on your left side. Turn left onto X283 road, and follow this road for another kilometer until you reach the temple.

Public Transportation
To reach Uththararamaya (Gal Vihara) via public transportation, first take a bus from the Minneriya bus stand to Nissankamallapura. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is approximately 50 LKR. After arriving in Nissankamallapura, you can take a tuk-tuk to Uththararamaya (Gal Vihara), which should cost around 200 LKR. The tuk-tuk ride will take about 10 minutes.

If you are already within walking distance in Nissankamallapura, you can reach Uththararamaya (Gal Vihara) by heading west on X283 road. The temple is about a 15-minute walk from the center of Nissankamallapura. Be sure to follow the road signs directing you to the temple.
