Getting There

Walking
Start at Lugano's central train station, Stazione di Lugano. Exit the station and head southeast on Via delle Scuole towards Via Pio II. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Nassa. Turn left onto Via Nassa and follow it until you reach the waterfront promenade, Lungolago. Turn right to walk along the lake, enjoying the view of Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains. After about 1 km, you will arrive at the end of the promenade. From here, continue onto Via Cattori, which becomes Via Francesco Borromini. Walk for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Via San Gottardo. At this point, you can either take a local bus (line 1 or 2) towards the train station in Como or continue walking. If you choose to walk, follow Via San Gottardo until it merges with Via Italia. Continue to follow signs towards the city center of Como. After approximately 2 km, you will arrive at the Portale della Rana located in Como.
