If you are traveling by car, the easiest route to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park is to take the A23 road. Start from the center of Moshi, which is approximately 30 minutes away from the park entrance. Head north on the A23 towards Marangu. Continue on this road for about 16 kilometers until you reach the Marangu gate, which is one of the main entry points to the park. Ensure you have your park entrance fees ready, which are typically around $70 for foreigners. Follow the signs to the park entrance, where you can park your vehicle.

To reach Mount Kilimanjaro National Park using public transportation, start by taking a 'dala dala' (shared minibus) from Moshi city center to Marangu. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs approximately TZS 1,500 to TZS 2,000. Once you arrive at Marangu, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to the Marangu gate of the park. The taxi ride is about 5 kilometers and should cost around TZS 10,000 to TZS 15,000. Make sure to have your entrance fees ready, as you will need to pay upon arrival at the gate.
