Getting There

Car
If you are starting from the Panther Junction Visitor Center, head southwest on TX-385 S for approximately 15 miles. Look for signs indicating Santa Elena Canyon Road. Turn left onto Santa Elena Canyon Road and continue for about 5 miles. The Dorgan-Sublett Trailhead will be on your right. There is a parking area available.

If you are coming from the Chisos Basin area, take the Basin Road back to TX-118. Turn right onto TX-118 S and continue for about 14 miles. Then turn right onto TX-385 S, and follow the instructions above to reach Santa Elena Canyon Road.

If you are using public transportation, check for shuttle services that operate within Big Bend National Park. Most shuttles will take you to major areas like Panther Junction.
