Car
If you are traveling by car from central Golden Triangle, head east on Route 1 (the main highway). After approximately 15 kilometers, turn left onto Route 1234 towards Chiang Rai. Continue for another 10 kilometers until you reach the junction for Rop Wiang Sub-district. Turn right onto Soi 9, and after about 1 kilometer, you will find Wat Phrathat Doi Khao Kwai on your left. Parking is available near the temple.

Public Transportation (Songthaew)
From the Golden Triangle area, you can take a songthaew (shared taxi) heading to Chiang Rai. The fare is approximately 50-100 THB per person. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection for Rop Wiang (Soi 9). From there, it is about a 1-kilometer walk to Wat Phrathat Doi Khao Kwai, which is located on the left side of the road.

You can also take a bus from the main bus station in the Golden Triangle to Chiang Rai. The bus fare is around 60-120 THB. Once you arrive in Chiang Rai, transfer to a local songthaew heading to Rop Wiang and get off at Soi 9. Walk about 1 kilometer to reach Wat Phrathat Doi Khao Kwai, located on your left.
