From Banff, take the A98 heading west. Continue on A98 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the turnoff for Sandend. Turn left onto B9031 and follow the signs for Sandend. As you approach the village, keep an eye out for the coastal path leading to Findlater Castle. There is limited parking available near the path entrance, so be prepared for a short walk. The castle is about a 15-minute walk from the parking area.

From Banff, take the bus service to Macduff (Bus Number 35). Alight at the Macduff bus station. From there, you will need to take a taxi to Findlater Castle, as public transport does not go directly there. The taxi ride will take approximately 15 minutes and may cost around £10-£15. Be sure to arrange for the taxi to pick you up after your visit, as there are no direct public transport options back to Macduff.
