Walking
If you are in the city center, head towards the Royal Mile. The Museum of Childhood is located at 42 High St. From the Edinburgh Castle, walk down the Royal Mile, passing by St. Giles' Cathedral on your left. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with High Street. The Museum will be on your left. Look for the sign on the building.

Catch a bus heading towards the city center. The Lothian Buses 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 30, 33, 49, and 100 all stop near the Royal Mile. Get off at the 'Royal Mile' stop. Once you disembark, walk down the Royal Mile towards High Street, and the Museum of Childhood will be on your left at 42 High St.

Take the tram from any station along the tram line towards York Place. Disembark at the 'St Andrew Square' stop. From here, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch any bus that goes towards the Royal Mile. Alternatively, you can walk for about 15 minutes. Head towards the east along St Andrew Square, then navigate towards the Royal Mile and follow it until you reach High Street. The Museum of Childhood will be on your left.
