If you're near Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, exit the station onto Market Street. Head west on Market Street until you reach the junction with Waverley Bridge. Continue straight onto North Bridge, which will lead you toward the Royal Mile. Once on the Royal Mile, walk until you reach the junction with South Bridge. Turn left onto South Bridge and continue until you see Chambers Street on your right. Turn right onto Chambers Street, and the National Museum of Scotland will be on your left at 1JF EH1.

If you're near the city center, locate a bus stop for Lothian Buses. You can take buses number 23, 27, or 41 that head towards the Grassmarket area. Get off at the stop called 'Chambers Street'. From the bus stop, walk south towards Chambers Street and the National Museum of Scotland will be directly ahead at 1JF EH1.

If you are near the Edinburgh Trams, board a tram heading towards York Place. Get off at the Princes Street stop. Walk toward the Mound, then head south down the Mound until you reach the junction with Chambers Street. Turn left onto Chambers Street, and you will find the National Museum of Scotland located at 1JF EH1 on your left.
