Getting There

Take the London Underground to Temple Station on the District or Circle Line. Exit the station and head towards the River Thames. As you exit, turn left onto the Embankment and walk along the riverbank for about 5 minutes. You will see the Temple Church on your left. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to Magpie Alley, which is adjacent to the church. Walk through Magpie Alley, and you will find Whitefriars Crypt at the end.

Catch a bus heading towards the City of London. You can take bus numbers 11, 15, or 23 which stop near Temple Station. Get off at the Temple Station stop. Once you disembark, follow the same directions as for the Tube: head towards the River Thames, turn left onto the Embankment, and walk until you reach Magpie Alley. Walk through the alley to reach Whitefriars Crypt.

If you are in the vicinity of Holborn, you can walk to Whitefriars Crypt. Head south on High Holborn towards the River Thames. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Fleet Street. Turn left onto Fleet Street and continue walking until you see the Temple area. Look for the entrance to Magpie Alley next to Temple Church and walk through the alley to reach Whitefriars Crypt.

Cycle
If you prefer cycling, you can use a bike from the Santander Cycles scheme. Find a docking station near your location and cycle towards the Temple area. Follow the signs towards the River Thames, and once you reach the Embankment, turn left. Continue until you find Magpie Alley next to Temple Church. Park your bike at the docking station near the entrance and walk through the alley to Whitefriars Crypt.
