If you're driving from Edinburgh, head south on the A7. After about 2 miles, take the exit toward Craigmillar Castle Rd. Follow the signs for Craigmillar Castle, which will be on your right after about a half mile. There's free parking available near the castle.

From Edinburgh city center, you can take bus number 3, 21, or 49. Board the bus at a stop on Princes Street towards the south. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Craigmillar Castle' stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes to reach the castle entrance.

After getting off at the 'Craigmillar Castle' bus stop, head northeast on Craigmillar Castle Rd. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the castle ahead. It's a pleasant walk through a residential area.
